Description
You stand parched amidst the shifting, burning sands just southwest of the walled city of Xixieqi. Here, an occasional scorpion digs itself out from the sand to chitter at other insects while eyeless desert voles leave ridged paths just beneath the surface of the sand which extends in all directions. To the north, only burnt-sienna sands can be seen, making travel in that direction seem pointless. To the south and west, the desert stretches into wave-like dunes while to the east, you can barely make out a caravan road several miles away.
