Sentry Post

Description

This is the sentry room just off the southern gate. Here guards can sit and watch the comings and goings at the gate just west of this point. In addition, a large table surrounded by chairs is, currently, covered with playing cards. You know that that table also doubles as an interrogation table when a suspicious or unsavory type attempts to enter the city limits. Books on a shelf here record the possessions and wares of merchants who come to sell in the markets of town so that they cannot cheat state when filing taxes. The only exit is to the west.
