Description

As you step into the sauna, your immediate response is one of immense pleasure and enticing pain. The aroma of cedar fills your nostrils with the sweet scent of fresh wood but as you inhale deeper, there is a searing pain from the intense heat. On a small mantel hangs an oak bucket, half filled with water which leaks out the side and over a number of heated rocks. The rocks themselves are heated directly by the hall furnace which burns continuously to warm the rooms deep within the heart of the mountain. A row of robes hanging on a series of pegs protrudes from one wall, beckoning you to strip down and enjoy the muscle soothing heat.
