serpentine armlets
These armlets are actually a pair of ebony and ivory anacondas dancing in circles around one another, flicking forked tongues in a spiraling duel. At the top of the entangled serpents are clips to attach to the arm, with a small bronze plate to protect them and the lower shoulders. The armlets are certainly lighter and flashier than most mail, but provide adequate protection at best.
